2022 Key ESG Topics & Impact

FJ Management manages a broad range of ESG topics across our subsidiaries and operations. We assess new or emerging ESG issues that could potentially impact or be impacted by our businesses, employees, and customers on an ongoing basis.

Below is a summary of a few of our 2022 ESG initiatives.

  • Invested $335 million into solar projects that will provide an estimated yearly carbon offset equivalent to electricity use in 54,773 homes.
  • Invested approximately $6.9 million in capital to produce gasoline with 10 ppm sulfur or less by 2025.
  • Through our food waste reduction program, we helped provide over 520,081 pounds of surplus food or 433,401 meals to the community.
  • Over the next three years,$150 million will be invested towards an IsoAlky project to remove potentially hazardous HF acid found within current refinery operations.
  • Employed the most cost-effective materials: 100% LED light, site-specific water conservation, and energy management system.
  • Invested $40 million in California carbon credit allowances.
  • Through our Pay for Grades, an employee-dependent program, we awarded 380 children a total of $28,871 for their excellent grades in school.
  • 67 employees participated in the tuition reimbursement program, with a total of $130,875.62 paid to employees.
  • Offered on-site medical clinics for employees available at four locations, with 1,527 employees participating.
  • Offered flexible work hours for eligible employees and expanded parental leave program.
  • Piloted and innovated an internal social support program for employees.
